1. Check the right service
Match the notice to Global or JP, your platform, and its date. A company webstore outage is not automatically a game outage, and a maintenance end time for Cygames ID is not necessarily the game's end time. Cygames explicitly says recovery times can differ between services.[1]
For Global, check Umamusume English on X and the in-game notice when you can reach it. Use Cygames Global support for account or persistent login trouble.
2. Choose the next check by symptom

3. What players actually reported
The following reports are from a Steam discussion opened on 2 July 2025. They are historical reports, not fixes tested by this site and not remedies for the October maintenance incident.[2]

If you try a data check, allow for a substantial download. If you change a network setting, record the original setting so you can restore it. Avoid repeatedly changing several settings at once: you will lose the ability to tell which change mattered.
Stuck at “Entering the starting gate” 0%?
First separate Android sign-in trouble from a Steam client that cannot finish loading. Similar text does not make the same workaround applicable.
Android reinstall: one reported recovery route
In a July 2026 discussion, fehbrize described a reinstall stuck at 0% on Android while the linked Steam copy worked. The author reported recovery after changing the game’s Google Play Games sign-in and using the existing data link. A named follow-up reported a related recovery; Emergency-River-7471 explicitly reported failure.[5]
- Open Google Play Games, not the Play Store. In the reported route, open the three-dot menu → Settings → Change account for games → sign out of Umamusume.
- Launch Umamusume and decline the initial Google sign-in prompt.
- Use Data Link with the already-working account and its existing link method.
- Let the game restart after linking. The author’s report says Google sign-in could then be used again.[5]
This is a single community discussion with mixed outcomes, not an official or site-tested fix. If it fails, stop repeating it and include the exact loading stage in your official support request .
Steam: record when repair is unavailable
A 16 October 2026 Steam player reported the same loading-stage message, said the repair control did not respond, and reported that restarting had not helped.[6] That is an unresolved case, not evidence for the Android account workaround. If your repair menu is inaccessible, record that fact for support instead of treating “run repair” as a completed check.
4. Send support a useful problem description
After one check, retry once and record the result. If the same failure remains, collect your platform, game version, server, exact message, local time and time zone, and the last screen that loaded. Include which check changed the symptoms and which did nothing.
Contact official Global support for game or account help. Never send a password, payment-card details, or a data-link password to this fan site. A connection message by itself is not evidence that your account was banned.
Will maintenance make me lose free scouts?
Free Scout Stock rules and maintenance compensation are different questions. Players asked about both during the 21 October interruption.[3] A quoted event example in a separate player discussion describes six free 10x scouts being available when a trainer first logs in at 15:00 UTC on 25 October after not logging in during the specified 20–25 October interval.[4]
That is a player’s quotation of a notice; the official notice could not be reopened during our check. It does not establish an automatic refund for a trainer who had already logged in, nor a compensation policy for this outage. Compare your first login and the current event’s own Stock/expiry rules separately from any maintenance-compensation announcement. Do not treat the banner changing as proof that every unused pull carries over.
